This is a picture of Jeff and me in Las Vegas earlier this year.....Jeff was homeless .....Our paths had crossed twice during two separate visits that I had made to Las Vegas within a couple of weeks to see my step-father while he was in the hospital. 

The first time I met Jeff I gave him a ride and some money.  The time, when this picture was taken, I took him to the Goodwill, bought him some clothes (his were filthy and stinky and he needed to get on an airplane).  I then  took him to my dad's apartment...he showered and shaved...I took him to the airport....he flew to Denver where he had a house and a job waiting....he had been a backslidden Christian living with his girlfriend......she died last year...he re-dedicated his life to the Lord....we had a great conversation.....prayed and thanked the Lord for His Grace and Mercy

People often ask me as I minister to people like Jeff and the inmates in the jail and prisons, "How do you know that they are telling the truth?"  My answer is always the same...."It doesn't matter if they are or not....they have to deal with the Lord and so do I."   I'm never worried about that...because I believe, without a doubt, that the Holy Spirit who prompts me to help them will also bring conviction to them if they are lying...

And I also love the following scriptures.....

'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink?38 'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?

39 'And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'

I don't worry if they are telling me stories.....you see at one time I too told stories....and someone reached out to help and tell me about Jesus.....and many years later here I am.....

11 And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.
